Payroll giving is a simple way to support women and families in our Motueka community who are experiencing family violence.

By choosing to donate a small amount from your pay each pay cycle, you provide steady, reliable support to those who need it most.

It is easy to set up, tax effective and can be changed at any time.

Why Give Through Payroll?

Regular payroll donations help us plan ahead and respond quickly when women reach out for help.

Your gift helps us:

  • Provide free, confidential support and advocacy
  • Support women and children to live safely
  • Assist with practical needs in times of crisis
  • Deliver prevention and education programmes in our community
  • Ensure no woman is turned away because of cost

Even a small regular donation makes a meaningful difference locally.

How Payroll Giving Works

Payroll giving allows your donation to be deducted directly from your salary before you are paid.

Because it is processed through PAYE, you receive the tax benefit immediately.

For example, if you choose to donate $30, your take home pay reduces by only $20. The remaining $10 is covered through your tax credit.

You choose the amount. You can increase, decrease or stop your donation at any time.

Your employer will:

  • Deduct your chosen amount from your pay
  • Adjust your PAYE accordingly
  • Forward your donation directly to Women’s Support Motueka

Getting Started

  1. Talk to your employer about payroll giving. Many workplaces already offer it.
  2. If it is not currently available, it is straightforward for your organisation to set up.
  3. Provide your employer with our organisation details (see below).
  4. Decide how much you would like to give and how often, for example each pay cycle.
  5. Let us know by email so we can thank you and keep you updated on the impact of your support.
